Should religious groups endorse bets in national elections?

Religious group Iglesia ni Cristo practices bloc voting in support of candidates endorsed by their leadership.

With the national elections being one of the most hotly contested in recent years, politicians seeking the highest posts in the country have been meeting with religious leaders that have considerable clout over their followers.

Just recently, Executive Pastor Apollo Quiboloy of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ the Name Above Every Name endorsed Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte for the presidency.

Presidential bets have also paid courtesy calls to Iglesia ni Cristo Executive Minister Eduardo Manalo, in an effort to seek the endorsement of the religious group that practices bloc voting.

Is it acceptable for religious groups to endorse national candidates during elections?
