MANILA, Philippines – Camarines Sur Rep. Leni Robredo was disappointed with statements of Sen. Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. during the Commission on Elections-initiated vice presidential debate on Sunday.

Marcos claimed that he was not involved in any corrupt activity despite the plunder charges filed against him in connection with the pork barrel scam.

"Parang understatement 'yung frustration. Mas inaasahan ko sana mas maging bukas kasi ngayon parang ino-offer niya 'yung sarili niya sa taumbayan para manungkulan ulit," Robredo told members of the press during an ambush interview.

The lawmaker also questioned Marcos's statement of assets and liabilities showing that he has wealth worth P500 million.

"Nakakalungkot lang dito kasi marami tayong kababayan na naghihintay ng hustisya... 'yung hidden wealth, 'yung nakaw na yaman hindi naman 'yun sa kanila," Robredo said.

The Presidential Commission on Good Government had recovered over P170 billion worth of ill-gotten worth from the family of former President Ferdinand Marcos and his cronies from 1986 to 2015.
