WATCH: Senatorial bets bare plans for education
MANILA, Philippines — Senatorial aspirants Valenzuela Rep. Sherwin Gatchalian, OFW rights advocate Susan Ople and Pasig Rep. Roman Romulo have presented their plans for the education system in the country.
Gatchalian said most of the youth opt not to go to college due to to poverty.
"Malaking problema ito dahil only two out of 10 youth ang nag-aaral sa kolehiyo. Walo ay hindi nag-aaral," Gatchalian said.
Ople suggested there should be free and accessible WiFi in all schools, both private and public, to improve the quality of education.
On the other hand, Romulo suggested online education as solution to the decreasing number of students pursuing tertiary education.
